Hey whats up all? I posted a question on here the other day that still needs answering but today I have some new questions to ask. My gf has always been regular on her period from what she can rem anyway. Over the last 3 months her period is changing. 3 months ago is was on the 28th. 2 months ago on the 27th. Last month on the 24th. Now this month it came last night at about 9pm. What can be the cause of this?? And no she did not start her bc yet. She is supposed to start them on sunday. Her period 3 months ago was normal and lasted 5 days when she got it on the 27th it lasted 4 days and it was fairly lighter than normal last months it lasted 5 days and it was normal now this month from what she told me last night it's the heaviest flow she has ever had that she can remember and she was cramping up really bad which is normal but last night more so than past times. Anyone know or experience this same thing? She is 19 and could her body be changing or what? She thought maybe she could be pregnant but I told her thats highly doubtful. Can anyone please lend a helping hand here?

She had an ultrasound done awhile back mabye 4 months ago and it came back negative on the cyst issue. Threy said everything was ok down there. Can there just be a change in her cycle is that norm al and does that happen from time to time?

Hi,

If she had the ultrasound done before her cycles changed, then that is irrelevant now.

lots of things can throw her periods off....could be stress....Has she changed birth control methods recently??? That can really throw her hormones/periods off....

Hello newradical! At age 19, yes bodys are still changing for females. One major thing that can change periods are stress. That can help it range in days, the amount of blood flow, etc. But my biggest suggestion is to have her consult her gyno with these questions. When she starts her Birth Control, it still may be off a day or two, but it will take a month or two for her body to get adjusted to her Birth Control because it has hormones in it. I wish you well! Maybe get a warm rag for her to put across her belly. And PS. I seen a comment to you about "if she is bleeding, she isnt pregnant" which is totally false. My mom had her period for 3 months of her pregnancy with me. It CAN happen. Go talk to the doc! good Luck!
