Hello All! I was wondering if any is taking the Ortho-Evra patch?! I have been took off of it to start Loestrin 24, but it was not giving me my periods so my family doc put me back on it, but now that more time has past, it is having long term effects that are coming out of people that were on it for a long period of time. The other day, I was watching T.V., and one of those attorney commercials came on about "if you have been on Orth o Evra and have experienced.. etc", so it is a Class A Lawsuit. I am scared! Has anyone seen these commercials or have anything positive/negative about this form of birth Control?

Thank you for the extra information. I shall find the website you gave me as a great material to decide if it is right for me. I was on the patch for about 6 months, and my doc tried me on Loestrin 24, but it didnt give me periods, so he put me back on the patch. I respect my doctor and his insight, but the more I see that commercial on T.V., the more I am becoming unsure. But thanks so much!

Remember, the commercial on TV is just that... an effort to get business for lawyers. If you trust your doctor, rely on his or her advice, s/he knows your medical history and is in the best position to advise you. Ok?

Is there any reason there is a major problem with not getting your period on Loestrin 24? I know several women would be uncomfortable with the idea of not having a period. But I also know several methods like the mini-pill, depo, and Mirena are known to take away your period but are considered completely safe. I have been on metods that I don't get a period and I love it, I wouldn't try to change it.
