I had been on Seasonale for about a year, I had 1 period during that time, during the first cycle of placebos. I had breakthrough bleeding/spotting for a couple of days maybe 3 times.
6 weeks ago I was late getting my perscripton refilled and missed the first 3 days of my new pack, so I had the week of placebo pills, then no pills for 3 days then started back normally.
I had a light spotty flow toward the end of my placebo week, then it stopped for a few days, then started back up again. I have been spotting ever since, over a month now. Last Wednesday I called my Gyn and she switched my pills, put me on Ovocon. The sotting has gotten worse, not better and I have mild abdominal pain, no cramping.
I plan on giving the new pills a week (3 more days) then calling my doctor back if it is not better, but I am starting to become concerned that something else is wrong.
No fever, no abdominal pain until the past few days, no breast tenderness, no nausea.
99% sure I'm not pregnant, last time I had intercorse was the last week of my regular seasonal pack so 7 weeks ago or so. Oh I'm 33 by the way.
If anyone has any help or suggestions for me I'd appreciate it.

By switching your pill to Ovcon, your doctor decreased your progestin and increased your estrogen, which only works to stop bleeding if someone is bleeding because she's short on estrogen.
