More than one missed period

So here is the thing, I have been on ortho-novum 1/35 for over a 1 1/2years. Off and on my period had been very irregular, meaning on the spacer pills I would have my period for a day and then it wouldn't be back until midpack. It happens about every 3 months. I have gained a lot of weight, about 30lbs in the past year so that is part of it. Anyway, I had my period midpack again in July and it lasted for 11 days, which is unusual for me. And since then I haven't had it. I have taken 3 pregnancy tests and they all have come out negative.

I don't have insurance and went to the "free" clinic but the place was disgusting and I couldn't stomach getting an exam there. I have been under so much stress I think that might be part of it as well. But I am at a loss as to what is happening to my body. What should I do and what is happening?

If three pregnancy tests came out negative, then I doubt you are pregnant. You really should bite the bullet and see a doctor, even if it means having to go to the free clinic. My boyfriend's mom had her period stop all of a sudden, and it turned out she had a really dangerous fibroid growing on her uterus which needed to be operated on and removed. My sister also had a period which just stopped. In my sister's case, it was just a simple hormonal problem that was corrected by taking either estrogen or progesterone pills (can't remember which) for a few months. It could be a lot of things, but you really should see a doctor about it in case it's something serious.

maybe it's not the right pill for you. I know some women just don't react well to certain hormone combinations.
