Has anyone had problems with their eye contacts since starting the BC, And if you did how did you resolve the problem?

From what my optometrist tells me: (I was just there 1 week ago!)
--your eyes naturally produce less tears as we age (approaching 40 is when it is more noticeable, but it can happen anytime)
--contact lens wearers are more prone to dry eyes b/c of contacts on the surface of the eye
--try to wear the most 'breatheable' lens you are comfortable with
--bcps CAN cause drier eyes in some women,
--artificial tear drops can be used and can help alleviate the dryness for some
--try to only wear your lens for no more than 8 hrs a day
--and take them out 3-4 hrs before bed so that your eye can 'breathe' since they are closed at night for sleeping, you are really not giving your eyes enough 'breathing' time!
HTH!
Hi there,
Dry eyes is a common side effect of the pill for contact wearers.
