HI, I posted this question a few weeks ago... but need to ask again.. I am taking the BCP to surpress my overies.. I'm taking two packs back to back with no placebo pills inbetween... I am on my last week of the pills, on the second pack. I started spotting about a week and a half into taking the pills.. and it hasn't stopped, infact these past few days has been worse, with cramps and clots (I'm sorry wat TMI..).. like a regular period.. I'm suppose to start clomid after stopping the pills and need to tell my OB when cycle day 1 is. the problem is, i don't think I"m going to be able to tell that.. and is this a sign of the pills just NOT working.. I'm taking a monophasic pill (I believe anyway), Nortrel.. I haven't metioned the spotting to my OB, because last visit here I was told its normal.. so I didn't think anything of it.. but now i'm almost done and its getting worse, not better..is this still normal, should I call my OB?

thanks!
Kim

You're trying to get pregnant but your ob put you on the pill first?

I know it sounds funny, but it actually is common practice when you are having a hard time TTC for an OB to put you on a BCP.. i have PCOS, so I have many many cysts on my overies.. the pill helps clear those and then if I go straight into a medicated cycle they don't have a chance to grow back.. the cyst keep my body from doing what it should do naturally.. I thought it was a little crazy at first too.. but after much research I understand why..

thanks for your post! I will call my OB today:)
