Clear Blue Easy Fertility Monitor

I know that this monitor is meant for conception and not as a contraceptive. I am BFing and was taking the mini pill until I decided I needed to use an Estrogen Cream to help with intercourse. My aunt flo just returned :( Both the mini pill and the cream can decrease milk supply. I am now just using the cream to help me. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to use the monitor to help decrease the chances of getting pg. It was quite accurate with predicting my fertile days for conception. DH and I would like to have another child, we would just prefer to wait a while (1 one more year). If we got pg again... it wouldn't be the end of the world so I'm wondering if this might be a reasonable way to prevent conception for at least a little while. We have tried other forms of BC... condoms, diaphragm, spermicide, and others.. but they just don't seem to work for me for various reasons.

When not breastfeeding, I know my cycles are so regular that I can predict them down to the hour and when using the monitor before I always ovulated on the same day of the month. My OB told me that he doesn't really believe in basal temping because it basically lets you know what's going on after you've ovulated. The fertility monitor at least lets me know before... as it starts to register higher fertility levels. I think the mini pill did decrease my milk supply because right after I stopped using it I became much more engorged and before that my supply had really regulated itself.
I wonder if breastfeeding is going to make my cycles very unpredictable. If I find that my cycles are regular, won't I be able to somewhat predict my ovulation. Usually my cycles are 25 days. Thanks for any additional input!
