About to throw in the towel...

I am 44 and have been on the pill for many years. After being on Ortho-Cyclen successfully for most of the time, I began btb. First late cycle, then mid cycle. By NP I was switched to Lo/Ovral, took for 3 months, had btb the entire time, late cycle then mid cycle. Was told by NP to finish current pack and stop taking bcp until I saw the DR. re ab pap saw the Dr. had many tests done all ok follow-up pap in six months, and he decided it would be worth a try to try YAZ. (Knowing I had never had luck with that low of a dose pill I was skeptical, but figured hey it is a new progesterone why not give it a try. Big mistake!) After my pill free month, I started my period on Wednesday 9/13 as I should have and was told to start the YAZ the Sunday to follow. I did. Period started 9/13 and I haven't stopped bleeding since. (In between, I was told to stop the YAZ on a Wednesday-took only 18 pills and begin Ovcon 35 the following Sunday. Was told I would have a period which I did and I am still bleeding be it a light flow or a wipe on the tissue. I am now in my last week of the first pack of Ovcon 35, should have a withdrawal bleed sometime next Sunday/Monday Whippee!!

Long story short, I don't know if I have the patience to continue with two more packs of the Ovcon 35 only to turn around, be put on something else and start the ride all over again. The cost of the pill $40.00/mo plus the pads $3.00+ a pack/week is really getting expensive. I know the pill has many other health benefits, but I sure don't feel like I benefitting at all when in the end, how can one feel like doing anything with all of this other S--T going on!! I am really getting tired of this ride and am considering stopping bcp's altogether.

Just venting I guess!
