The pill can increase the likelihood of yeast infections, but how much of an increase depends on the woman. some women's bodies are more sensitive to the effect than others. Some women experience no increase in the number of yeast infections they get. And, not using the pill doesn't guarantee you woun't get a yeast infection at some point. The most important thing to remember is that yeast infections are bothersome, but rarely serious. A quick visit to the doctor for a proper diagnosis (because other things can have similar symptoms) and medication can take care of a yeast infection pretty quickly.
