Q about BCP & Pregnancy

Please confirm this for me:
If you're taking BCP and you miss a day or two here and there throughout your pill cycle, you can get pregnant.
Yes or No?
Also, please answer this question:
If you're taking BCP and you miss a day or two here and there throughout your pill cycle, and experience some significant breakthrough bleeding mid-cycle, is it possible NOT to have a period (total absence) during the week you stop the poll in between cycles?
Yes or No?
Years ago, I was on the pill and even when I had breakthrough bleeding, I still always
got at least some semblance of a period during my break week.
And it was my understanding that if you miss a day or so here and there throughout your pill cycle, there is a chance you could get pregnant.
Thanks.

Yes, even one missed pill increases your chances of getting pregnant, although by how much varies by who you ask. Multiple missed pills increases you chances even more. To ge the most out of your pill, it should be taken as close to the same time every day as possible. See our FAQ for more info.

Yes, it's possible to have both breakthrough bleeding and a missed cycle in the same month. But, that isn't necessarily an indication of pregnancy. However, if you've missed pills and had sex without using a backup method, and missed a period, you might want to take a home test to set you mind at ease.
Thanks, it's been years since I've had this worry, but my 17dd missed some of her pills over the course of this past month and this last week she did not get a period. She will not come clean with me if she's had sex with her new bf at all, so I can only assume that means "yes", KWIM?
I am buying a test on my way home today. Thanks again.
