Yasmin vs. Yaz

Does anyone know - Is there really a big difference chemically/hormonally between Yaz and Yasmin besides the amount of days you take an active pill? Yasmin is 3 mg DRSP/.03 mg ethinyl estradiol and Yaz is 3mg/.02 mg. Can the miniscule difference in the estrogen portion have an effect on how I tolerate Yasmin? I was doing well on Yaz and lost 15 lbs., but it is not covered as well by my insurance as Yasmin. So now I'm on Yasmin instead and am STARVING hungry. I dont want to gain all that weight back, but I also don't want to attribute this problem to something statistically not possible.

Any ideas?

I am actually in the process of trying to evaluate if I want to go on the pill again... My doc recommended YAZ.

You may find a bigger difference in the estrogen content than you do with the increased number of active days.
