since I last posted here. Just a vent this post is. I appreciate your encouragement that things should be easier the next time, Jill. I have two weeks or so to go before I'm off active pills then will break for my period (oh joy, can look forward to three weeks of period since this one I'm on is not ending). I hope then by the time I get on active pills again it will stop and I won't have as much discharge as I've been having too.

I'm having the same problem, its like my period never ends! I'm on allese right now but am thinking I need to switch to something stronger. I'm 40 though and hate the idea of going on anything with too high a hormone content. Plus I have had a lot of past problems with side effects from the pill.

you mean not taking the placebo's inbetween? No, but the bleeding starts about half way thru my cycle, around the time I'd ovulate (I can tell I'm not ovulating though) and then lightens up a day or two before my period really starts and then its very heavy.
I think I just came to the conclusion that I'm going to get off the pill all together. Its not worth the headache.

Hi I just wanted to say that my body has done what is your is doing and my Dr. told me my body is rejecting it. I have tried several pills yasmin, ortho-tricyclin and 2 others but I can't remember what they are. After I would take them for a couple months I would start to bleed for almost the whole month. My suggestion is to stop taking them. I'm now on Lessina and so far they are ok, this is only my 2nd month on this brand and I'm late on AF, so i don't what the heck is going on. Well good luck.

Thank you. I don't feel so alone now with almost bleeding for a month. Just yesterday things have gotten a little better and I actually hope that this break through bleeding is done with. I've never heard of the body rejecting a birth control pill, that is very interesting. I'll see how it goes the next time around (trying to go 12 weeks without period then one week off).
