On December 15th I'll be having either the Essure procedure or a tubal ligation. (If my insurance won't cover the Essure, I'll have the tubal.)

I have my pre-op work-up done on December 6th.

Originally I chose the Essure procedure because everything I read about it said that general anesthesia wasn't used. Then I found out that my doctor DOES use it. So now I'm wondering if I shouldn't just go ahead with the tubal and be done with it.

I need to do a bit more research I guess. I want a quick recovery, but don't know if I like having to wait 3 months (or more) for results.

Congrats on the date. I had my procedure done in Sept.. I go next month to make sure that the Essure took. I was back to work the next day. The only minor problems that I had was some cramping (menstrual type). I just want the results by the 27th. I want to be off the pill completely before the new year begins.

Good luck next month with the test. I hope everything goes ok with that.

I've decided to go ahead with the tubal ligation. Since I've got to be put under anyway I might as well get this over with and get off of these pills quickly.

29 days to go!
