I started taking Estro-Step for my acne. My doctor gave me samples and after those ran out I went to get it filled and it was 52.00 a pack. Way to much I think. So, I went back to my doctor and she switch me to Yasmin. It is 42.00 a pack. I have called my insurance company for a list of what they cover but they said they don't have any of that information. I seem to be paying the highest for mine of all my friends. I was wondering how much yall pay and what birth control is it.

Luckily my insurance is awesome. I just recently got an IUD and paid $15 for the exam and insurtion. So $15 for 10 years of protection...Very GOOD. I was on Depo before that and with Insurance it was $45 for 3 months of protection. I had no insurance for a breif time and it was $90 for 3 month protection.

I had no idea that birth control was so expensive in the US! I pay between 17$ and 22$ a month Canadian for my Alesse, which is probably about 16.50 to 20$ US, and my private insurrence covers 80% of it.

I was on sample packs of Orth-Tri-Cyclen Lo for two months. I went back to the doc and he prescribed Loestrin Fe 24. I got it filled at Target and it cost $55 and some change, without insurance....does anyone know if there is a generic for this??

Morning,

The generic pill for Loestrin FE 24 is Microgestin FE 24. I'm not sure how much it costs w/out insurance. I have insurance (thank God) and pay a $10 copay for 2 packs every 2 months.

I would call around a couple of pharmacy's to check to see what their prices are before going anywhere to fill. Might save a couple bucks!

Good luck!
