Getting off the pill to get pregnant...
| Fri, 11-10-2006 - 11:22am |
I currently take Seasonale and have been on it for about two years now. In the Spring, I'd like to start trying to get pregnant. I've heard a lot from doctors and friends and am just wondering how it's worked out for anyone else out there: how long did it take your body to adjust after you stopped taking the pill to get pregnant? If you can help, great, if not, please direct me to a message board that might be able to better answer my question. Thanks so much!

Everyone is different I got pregnant the first month off the patch, planned pregnancy Dh was 35 and I was 34.5. We expected it to take longer. Ds is a healthy 7 month old now!
Good luck,
Holly
Hi orange044, welcome!

From what I have heard most drs recommend letting your body have a regular period "on its own" mainly for tracking the date of conception/due date.
However long it takes really varies from woman to woman. I have heard one month, three months, and others sometimes up to a year.
Good luck!

My mother got pregnant in less than a month when she came off the pill years ago (and back then they had high levels of hormones).
It depends on how quickly you begin ovulating after you stop the pill.
