how common is it while on BCP to skip a month of your period? i have always gotten my period since being on the pill but it has gotten very light..last month i got it for a day and a half on the thurd day of placebo. this month i havnt gotten it yet and i have one more placebo left..i am going to take a pregnancy test to be safe but how could it be possible if i have taken the pill religeously every morning same time? helpp im freaking out bc of no period!

A good test kit is usually accurate if used at least 14 days after the day of concern. For more about pregnancy tests see: http://www.labtestsonline.org/understanding/analytes/hcg/glance.html

thanks for the info...so last week i missed my period, and today i began a new BC pack. how long should i wiat until taking the test to get a true result? im thinking i just skipped my period because it has been getting lighter and lighter each month but i need a true answer because pregnancy isnt an option for me right now and i thought i was being sooo careful by taking my pill same time everyday.

Reports of much lighter and missing periods seem to be getting more and more common on this board lately. You are being careful hon and that's a very good thing so you should be fine. A good test kit is accurate about 2 weeks after the day you had the intercourse of concern.
