stopped taking bc after 4 yrs.

I was referred to this board by my sister who CLs on Parents of Toddlers and Preschoolers and Kindergarten. I am 24 years old, and I have been taking BC pills for the past 4 yrs. I stopped taking BC at the end of July (I was taking Yasmin). My first cycle after BC was 48 days. Then, my period only lasted 3 days. My first cycle after BC I started tracking on www.fertilityfriend.com, to see when my cycle would return to normal, but I stopped because I was distressed with the erratic results. On the second day of that first period I began tracking again. I have been taking my temp. everyday, and tracking other fertility signs as well. My chart does not show any signs of ovulation - I have not had a sustained thermal shift. My CM has been erratic as well, one day it will be fertile, the next day it could be dry (not fertile). I am on day 57 of my second cycle after BC. I was wondering if anyone maybe could offer advice...has anyone experienced coming off the pill? I am not trying to get pregnant...my husband and were married in July. I am trying to use charting in the way of natural family planning. We hope to try within the next year or two. I just wanted to get regular again, and BC made me gain 30 -40lbs. Please, help.

I charted when I quit too, though my cycles were much shorter (25-26 days with a 7-8 day luteal phase).
