BC and red scales?

I am so grossed out...I have these small, red, scaly splotches. They have been there for awhile and no one can figure out what they are. One was biopsied over the summer, and the diagnosis...general dermatitis. Could they be any more vague? Fungus, bacteria and viruses have been eliminated, and the doctor is now wondering if it might be an effect of my pills. I am currently taking Desogen. Has anyone else ever had this kind of side effect? I am putting a steriod creme on them currently, and am hesitant to stop or change pills. I have tried a lot of different BC, and this one seems very good for me. Minus the possible scaly effects.

Most doctors will tell you that it's not related and that birth control pills don't have skin reactions as side effects.

I was taking Loestrin before this. I think it was Loestrin...I have also taken Ortho-Cyclen in the past 1.5 to 2 years. One of them made me extrememly moody and prone to crying without warning. I had acne with the other that went away after I started the Desogen. But, the splotches didn't show up until the Desogen, either. I have also had really bad skin allergies since starting it. I had to switch my laundry detergent, lotions, body washes, etc. since starting it, which I never really connected till just now. I thought my skin was just getting more sensitive as I got older.

I feel like I have tried everything, and nothing is ever going to be just right for me.

A little over a year ago I noticed a small reddish dry patch of skin under my right eye. Since then it has gradually gotten larger. It's not always noticeable... some days it's hardly there at all, but then the next day it's back. Sometimes it covers about half of my right cheek. I use a moisturizing lotion on the bad days. I've always had oily skin, so suddenly having one dry cheek is kind of weird for me...

I am hoping it's from my pills and that it goes away next month when I have my tubal.
