Dec. 2nd- Dec.9th I'll be in The Bahamas- and I am gonna have have my periode- I DON"T WANT IT!! so my idea was to stop taking the pill this month so I can get it early then start a new cycle so that when I am in the Bahamas I won't be miserable. Has anyone done this before? all thoughts and opinions are very welcomed

Thankyou for sucha quick reply- and great information that I didn't know about- I was gonna do the wrong thing - I've said this in so many boards but I am so glad that I found this site- It's amazing!!

So from what I understand- because I take Tri-cyclen- this is what I need to do- but I don't understand the part where it says to take the second pack then take placebos to have your periode and begin a new pack because I'll tell you where i am now in my pills pack is the pill 5 from the top of pack- I want to be periode free on DECEMBER 2nd-the 9th does that mean I can skip my periode?

Thanks for being here to answer my question in regards to this small but important matter- this trip means so much and I want it to be perfect- I will be proposing to my bf.

When taking a triphasic pill you can take the pills (using two packs) several different ways depending on the length of time you want to delay your period.

To delay one week: Take the first pack as you normally would, phases 1,2,3, then take phase 3 from the **??"(("second pack then take the placebos to have your period and begin a new pack"")??)**. Save the other 2 phases of active pills for emergencies in case you lose of vomit a pill. Taking two phase 3s back to back keeps the hormone levels in weeks 3 and 4 of your cycle constant which gives you the best chance of avoiding irregular bleeding.
