Here we go again... :( Yaz anyone?!?

My myriad of birth control brands just keeps growing and growing. After about 7-8 months on Nuva-Ring, it's just not cutting it for me. I'm still getting migraines and I have ZERO sex drive (I'm in a serious committed relationship of almost 6 years, I think I deserve a sex drive!!) I've tried all of the following: Ortho-Tricyclen, Yasmin, LoOvral, LoEstrin, Mircette, and Nuva-Ring. And my doctor just prescribed me Yaz. I LOVED yasmin when I was on it except my migraines came prior to my period like clockwork. But that wasn't that big of a deal since I had a sex drive and I was consistently happy. I was on Yasmin for almost 2 years and then my doctor thought I should try something else. With the way Yaz is constructed, what do you think the odds are that I will not experience as many migraines as I did before? I know Yaz and Mircette are similar in that they have hormones during the "placebo" week, but will that stop my period related migraines? I never had migraines with Mircette, so I'm curious. Can I expect similar results from Yaz as I did with Yasmin? I'm on my 7th brand of birth control!! If this one doesn't work, my ob-gyn wants me to try an IUD or the mini-pill. I'm so sick of trying everything on the market. If any of you have any answers, thank you in advance.

Hello, I just wanted to add that I always got headaches on any Birth Control Pills I have ever taken. So I finally came to the conclusion not to take any pills. I just started on the Nuva ring as of yesterday, so we'll see how that goes. But even my Mom noticed that when I'm on Birth Control I get headaches more often and they are worse than normal. I'm not trying to get prego right now, but if this doesn't work for me then I'm gonna leave the BC up to my boyfriend. I have tried several things also, like 4 or 5 different pills and after 3 months with all of them I started spotting everday, then I was on the Depo shot, I actually really liked it. I didn't gain weight until I stopped being active. I finally lost the weight so I'm afraid to get on it again because for one I'm not in High School anymore, enough said, right, lol. So good luck, but you might just have to stop taking pills. I asked my Dr. about the IUD, and she told me they wouldn't give it to me because I haven't even been prego before and it's mostly for women who are done having kids. I was like whatever, I never heard that one before, but I didn't argue I just smiled and nodded, lol..
