Should I be worried?

Hi there,

I never post in this forum but I use this site frequently and always value the advice here, so thank you in advance!!

I am not sure if I am worrying for no reason or what, but any advice would be great.

I have been on the pill for 6 yrs, same guy for that amount of time and we don't use condoms.

I am very good about taking my pill but in Sept. I decided to skip my period because he and I were going away. Ok, no big deal. I had a normal period last month.

Well, I usually take my pill in the AM and while at the gyno's office earlier this month, she said that I shouldn't do that in case I sleep in on the weekends...it MUST be taken with in a 1/2 hour of your nomral time....I know it should be around the same time but she totally freaked me out!

Then, I thought maybe I'd try taking it at night. I don't like this schedule as it is far more sporatic than my mornings. So I am back to mornings. He's pulled out the first few times but is back to ejaculating inside of me.

So, now, I am all worried that I messed myself up and am running the risk of being prego. I never had a fear of this before and my gyno--the same woman for all these yrs, has NEVER said that me before when she's asked...so why now??

I must say too...her entire demeanor changed towards me after I refused to consider the HPV vaccination (I do not feel getting this so early in it's "life" is safe and I told her am willing to bank on my marriage working rather than running the risk of hearing 10 yrs later the shot was worthless is caused side effects....) and that's when she snapped about me taking the pill in the AMs.

So what's the deal? Should I be freaking out? My period is due this week--I haven't felt like this since the first time we had sex 6 yrs ago!! (I was always paranoid about becoming prego and ALWAYS used contraception until i got on the pill...)

Hi,

Thanks, I actually got my period this AM so all is well! I am on an combination pill and it was about a 12 hr difference when I started to take it in the evening.

Thank you for your input and wisdom! I am glad I posted and your response helped me feel better!

I worked for a company that's biggest client was Mereck, so when the vaccination hit the forefront, there was a lot of to-do abotu it.

I agree, it's a great advancement but I don't feel comfortable with it personally. I read in the package of info given to me at the Dr's office that 27 is the cut off age. I have another yr to think about it but doubt I'll go there :)

Thanks again! I hope to stop back!!

About the HPV vac. I would get a new doctor. I hate it when doctors assume that every husband/boyfriend cheats and will give you something. When I got MARRIED and went on the pill my doctor gave me a big talk about how I could still get something from my husband and to use condoms. What would she have said at a pre-conception check up? So I have switched to someone that supports MY decisions about MY body.
