Ok, I'm just wondering if peeling nipples can be a side effet from the Nuva Ring. I haven't found that it is, i'm just wondering if maybe this has happended to anyone else or should I be concerned, also my breasts are extremly tender, but I'm sure thats a side effect. This only going into the 2nd week I've been on it. i started taking it last monday so 1 week and 2 days. Please advice or input would be great.
Thanks

are you talking about like dry skin around your nipple area and breasts? because i just posted a topic about that, but i am not on the ring. i am on low-ogestrel.

Well at first I posted mine in Acne, Eczema & Skin Conditions, but out of no response, I decided to post it on here as Low-Ogestrel since I beleive the birth control may be controlling whats happening. But no one has responded yet unfortunately!

I get that too. I seem to get at times of high stress and anxiety. It eventually goes away. Don't use any harsh soap on them if possible.

You can buy a cream or something that is designed to help with cracked nipples and such-like for breast feeding mothers. You might want to try that over the next couple of months while your hormones adjust to the Nuvaring.

Have you been having sex within the first week of starting the ring? Cause tender breasts accompany pregnancy.

Vitamin E cream is supposed to help with that, I think. :D When my nipples would get dry in the early days of breastfeeding, I found a little Lanolin cream to be extremely helpful.

Yes, we have had sex during the first week, but my Dr said that I should be fine being that I switched from BCP to the ring. So we haven't used a back up method. I don't think I'm prego, Since I have tried a couple different types of BC, my breast have gotten tender about 4 to 5 days into the new pack or the first week on the ring and pretty much lasts the whole month. I have been getting some wierd cramps kinda like I'm gonna start my menstrual, but I'm not even suppose to take out the ring until Dec. 11th, so I don't know. My body reacts wierd to bc. I get lots of headaches and I actually got a migraine on the 5th day of the ring, but I'm not sure if it's related or not. Thanks for the advice, if you have anymore please share.
Thanks,
