I'm sure we've talked before about books you want to see as movies, or ones that were much better than the film version. Today, however, I'm wondering about flicks that made you want to read a book you didn't know existed. What are some novels you'd recommend to the Bookshelf gals?

I'll find out soon whether "The Tenant of Wildfell Hall" (Anne Bronte) is as interesting as the movie I saw years ago. And I'm also waiting for "The Princess Diaries" by Meg Cabot, since I loved the Disney adaptation.

Now for one I actually know about. ;) It wasn't until I'd seen all three "Lord of the Rings" movies that I could appreciate Tolkien's writing style and the detail he put into the books.

At the moment I can't think of more, but I'm eager to hear your thoughts on the topic.

Becca :)
