Will start the ring but still bleeding.

I got one free Nuva Ring and will start using that one.

I stopped the pill (Dianette) after being in it for a week because it made me really moody, got acne (which made me even more moody) and since the package says to start the first day of your period I started the first day that I saw my period comming. I guess that was my mistake because it seems like everything just clogged inside and was comming out really thick. More like the egg white type of discharge you get when ovulating but with a little blood.

A week later I got everything come out as huge blood clots and it was really painful so I could't take it and stopped the pill right away. Ive been bleeding now for almost two weeks and dont know if it will ever stop. Im really nervous because Im going to see my boyfriend in 2 weeks and wanted a reliable birth control method since I know I can't trust his "pulling off" technique all the time. Im moving with him in 3 months so wanted to start on The Ring to see if a lower dose of hormones work better on me but Im afraid of getting the moodiness, the acne and the bleeding that the pill gave me. The pill I was using had a 2 mg of progesterone and 0.035 estrogen. Could that be the reason? Is that too much hormones?

The thing is that I need to stop this bleeding now :( Do you guys think that if I start on the Ring this will stop the bleeding. Should I wait until I stop bleeding by myself. I know that the ring needs to be in place for 7 days in order for it to work so time is running!

Need advice!!

Hi!

Wow I didnt know about the soft cup! Im buying some tomorrow, I never thought there was something better than a tampon. And you can even have sex with the cup? That is awesome! Thanks so much. You made my day. I will start the ring tomorrow to at least let my body adjust to the hormones before I see my bf. Hopefully it will stop this crazy period that I got for messing with the pill. Now I feel that its getting less heavier, more like a normal period so I guess thats a good thing so hopefully it will stop with the ring.

I will let you know how it goes.

Thanks a lot for all the help!!

I hope you won't need instead but it's nice to have them on hand if you do. They work for most women and they are the only thing I know that will collect your flow during intercourse. I hope you like NuvaRing and things go well. Please keep in touch.
