Birth Control Pregnancy?

Hello,
I have been on OrthoTriCyclen Lo for close to 2.5 years. I am a Sunday starter and I usually start my period on Tuesday or Wednesday of the week of placebo pills. However, I didn't start my last period until Saturday (11/25) of the placebo pill week. I guess the late period threw me off because I forgot to start my new pack of pills until the following Monday 11/27. I probably should have taken two pills that day to get back on track, but I didn't think of that at the time, so I am currently one pill behind in my pack. My question is, could I have gotten pregnant due to missing my first active pill? If so, when would I be able to test and get an accurate result. If I am pregnant my husband and I would be happy (we were planning on trying in a few months anyway), I would just like to know as soon as possible. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi katekate29, welcome!

Hi there,
If I could also add:
If you think you are pregnant, you might want to stop taking the BCP and use another non-hormone BC until you know for certain one way or the other.
Just my 2 cents.
