Yikes, this is what happens when you take your pill at 9 am and you're still sleepy when you wake up! :/
Yesterday, I woke up at 9 am to take my pill as always (I keep the pack on my window sill near my bed). Right now, my pill pack is loose (I accidentally threw away my white case for it to go in) and I groggily popped the pill out the back, tossed it back with some water and went back to sleep.
So today when I woke up, I noticed that I still had the pill left for Friday (yesterday)! I had accidentally gone BACKWARDS in my pill pack and taken the last pill in my pill pack for next Saturday. So I popped both pills for yesterday and today this morning, but was this not correct thinking? And now I won't have a pill for next Saturday before supposedly getting my period. Will this affect my cycle in any way? I guess I will make sure to get a case next time I go to the health center! :/

Hi there,
If your pills are monophasic, meaning they have the same amount of hormone in each pill except for the inactive ones, it woudln't matter at all which pill you took when. Like I take Loestrin, and I could take the week three pills first and then week one and then week two and wouldn't make any difference at all. If you take the pills with the varying levels of hormones then I'm not exactly sure how the fluctuation in levels would change your protection. To look up what kind of pill you have there is a link on this group about what is in your pills. Hope that helps.
Hi
Jill
sorry for the confusion.
I accidentally took the last ACTIVE pill in the pack, not placebo pill. And yes, my pills are the ones with varying levels of hormones.
Next Sunday I should get my period. So are you saying that by not taking a pill next Saturday (the one that I took already on accident) I will not get my period on time? Would the levels of hormones really change that much to throw my period cycle off? I'm home from college now for break and I won't see my boyfriend for the next month anyway so protection wise, it's not a problem.

Hopefully that is what indeed happens. Thanks for the advice, I'll keep you posted. :)
And everyone have a Merry Christmas!
