Who here experience some sort of dryness as a side affect of using birth control. I use Ovcon but I've never had this problem before I started taking birth control I asked my Ob-Gyn she said that's normal because everyone reacts differently to birth control so she really can't tell me if taking another birth control pill will change that. I told her I experience it the most like I think a week before or after my menstrual. She told me to do Kegel exercises more because that could help produce moisture and I also use lubricants. I was using Nuva-ring it was very uncomfortable had to stop using it.

Hi there,

I got really bad vaginal dryness in the last few months of having my Mirena IUD. I ended up having it removed, and haven't been on hormonal birth control since August. However, the vaginal dryness problem still plagues me a little bit, but nothing like it was before.

You might want to try Vitamin E supplements to help with the problem, as this will help to keep things supple. Exercise will increase blood flow to the area.

You could try a different pill, but as your doctor said, it may not help. In the end, if it gets too bad, you may just have to go off the pill to get your natural hormones back into order.

I had severe vaginal dryness when I was taking Triphasil and Ortho Cyclen.
