i'm a virgin. or was one anyway until 2 nights ago. it was my first time but it was unprotected. i freaked out about a minute into it (maybe even before that) and i pushed him off (no, he did not even come close to ejaculating). but i was completely worried and paranoid about possibly getting pregnant so i took the EC or the Plan B pill the very next day (about 15 hours later). at the time of my intercourse, i was 5 days away from starting my period. should i still be worried?? was that day considered as my fertile day?? was i ovulating that day?? because for some reason, i thought i was but i'm not really sure. or should i just trust that the pill worked and i should be expecting my period at the regular time?? is there still a possibility that i could get pregnant because of this?? i'm so worried. i can't sleep! can someone please help. =/

women typically ovulate around day 14 of a 28 day cycle. as far as i know day 1 would be the first day of your period. you might want to think about going on some form of BC now that you are sexually active that way you can prevent another scare like this.

it's been 3 days since i've taken the Plan B pills. i keep getting this pain on the lower part of my stomach. the same feeling of cramps like on the first day of my period. so i keep thinking that my period is coming but nothing is happening!! it's really freaking me out. my period has always been irregular eventhough i'm already 22. some months i get it, some months i dont, and sometimes i get it twice a month. and i was not sexually active. this time is the only time i've been praying for my period to come on time, eventhough it probably won't, but i'm just freaked out. it says on the paper that came with the box for plan b, that if i experience pain at my lower abdomincal region, it can mean an ectopic pregnancy. i'm not sure what to think!! please help...

Hi,

You should talk to a gyn about your irregular cycles. The most common cause of irregular cycles is PCOS. PCOS is best diagnosed by an endocrinologist, and you can get more info at the following board:
