kinda worried-on the mini pill

I'm new here and have been on birth control for a while (Yasmin, Nordette) but my doctor recently switched me to the progestin only Orthomicronor because I had been having migraines and she was worried about the vascular risks associated with that.
I have just finished my second pack. During the first pack, I was fine, got my period a little late ( like two days). After I started the second pack, I noticed pretty much spotting after my period (almost as if it never went away, just having to wear a pantiliner all the time)Well the spotting stopped around the 17th of December (I had a doctor appointment that day.)
Well, my boyfriend and I had sex without a condom once around this time. I had figured, well, I've been on this new pill a month and a half, I'm probably fine.

Well now, I was supposed to start my period sometime this week but haven't, and its Sunday now. I know that since Micronor has four weeks of progestin (no sugar inactive week) that I'm probably fine and its just as if I've skipped my period by going right to a new pack. But still, I just have a nagging little worry in me. I'm not the kind of girl that likes to skip periods, I like having it there to reassure me that everything's alright.

Oh and one more thing, my one friend who was on this pill did not have periods because of the continuous dose of progestin. I hope this is my situation too..

Please help.

Thanks for your reassurance.

Yes, I take the pill on. the. dot at 8:52 every night and have had no problems remembering that. I read up on it some more and feel more reassured about not having a period. I have a doctor appt on Jan 17 and will talk possibly about a switch because I do not like missing periods! It makes me nervous.

i had my IUD removed for the same reason, I actually like having the reassurance of my period. have you thought about trying Nuvaring or Depo shot? the shot most women stop getting a period eventually too.

I just wanted to say that I was on the mini pill for 2 years and didn't have my period once the entire time. I did have a bit of spotting once while on antibiotics, but that was the only time! HTH some!
