I've been on the pill for 9 years now. Many different pills, to name a few: Estrostep, Lorestrin, Yasmin, Seasonale, and currently Allese.
I'm thinking about getting off the pill. One cause I've been on it forever. Second, I am almost 30, and while I have no desire to have children, I know it's a risk to take the pill after 35. Third because I'm not currently sexually active and really the only reason I take the pill is so that I don't have to keep track of my periods.
My question is, do you suppose after 9 years that there will be some sort of issues with quitting? My current pill works fine, etc. I guess I just don't want to take it "just cause" anymore and not to mention it saves me an extra $35/mo.
I see the GYN for my yearly tomorrow and plan on discussing this but I wanted your thoughts.
TIA
Jenny
