How Is Yaz Different?

I've posted here before about Seasonale.. I stopped taking it because of migraines 4x a week, the constant bleeding, and the blood pressure shooting up. Recently, I stopped having my period. I made an appt with my new doctor and then got my period. I kept the appt anyway. So we talked about everything that was going on. And he said it appears that I'm on an estrogen overload with the hot flashes, night sweats, migraines, and the periods. I'm going back next month for a pap and to discuss Yaz.

I just want to know how Yaz is different and how it's hopefully going to help me.

TIA!

When I first started taking birth control I took Yasmin, it made me go nuta and feel really bad, so I stopped after the first month. I took Yaz next, it has lower estrogen, and it wasn't enough estrogen and my period started and didn't end for two weeks! So I'm back on Yasmin but it's ok because I worked my way up this time. Maybe it will work for you, my doctor told me it's only a few people who it will work for, hopefully you're one. Good luck!

Usually night sweats, hot flashes, and missed periods are because of LOW estrogen, not high estrogen.

We discussed a lot of things including periods past pre-pregnancy..And believe me, they were terrible.

I got to thinking about maybe he had it backwards or I did. But I know I heard him correctly.

I stopped Seasonal in August but this problem has been around for awhile. The information is enough. I just wanted to know how the hormone was better or different than traditional methods. I googled Yaz but the website wasn't that informational.
