thinking of trying nuvaring

After reading through many of the posts on this message board, I've started to think about trying the nuvaring rather than the pill or IUD. The nuvaring users seem to have the fewest complaints overall. I had a lot of side effects on BCPs (the worst being water rention and depression). Do nuvaring users experience fewer side effects than BCP users? How does the ring stack up to the pill in terms of advantages and disadvantages?

i just finished my 3rd month on nuvaring and I LOVE IT. I have been using BCPs for 11 years and I just switched. The convenience of it just cannot be beat. I did not notice any side effects different from any other hormonal BCP. the only downside I found is that sometimes I "feel" it during sex. On the other hand, you can remove it per the instructions. The thing is I forget I have it in because it is so comfortable (until I remember when I am in the middle of something!)

I absolutely love the NuvaRing! I have been on it for about 5 months now, and haven't noticed any side effects. One of the best advantages (to me, anyway) is the fact that you don't have to take it every day, unlike pills. You just put it in once a month- leave it in for 3 weeks and then take it out to have your period. I cannot feel it at all, and it's easy to put in and take out. You should give it a try! You might check their website, because they were giving coupons for a 1 month trial free.
