I just read the recent post regarding depression on the pill. As I replied, all of that fits me exactly. I've been on OrthoCyclen (MonoNessa the generic) for about four or five months now. I'm feeling worse I'd say than I did on the pill before. I was on OrthoCept/Apri generic for about five years.

I'm also trying to skip periods with this new pill. The first 12 weeks I bled the last four. The second round now of 12 weeks I'm on week about 7 and so far so good no bleeding just lots of discharge.

*sigh* so I'm wondering if things will get better with this MonoNessa pill for me? I'm really uncomfortable at having to insert things inside of me or foreign things in me with other birth control methods. I've been on the pill for years and years and I'm terrified to go off as a friend suggested I do.

I really feel at a loss and just want to feel better.

I'm going to my primary doctor in a couple weeks and will mention this. Just wondering of further knowledge you all have.

Thank you.

Thank you as always, Jill. I wonder why my gyn. did not just put me on Yasmin or Yaz in the first place when I told her I wanted to switch. I'm going to my primary the week after this coming and see what she thinks. I do though have about five packs left of MonoNessa (just ordered some a few weeks ago-- wish I did not) so not sure if I should just go ahead and wait- use them up before switching to another pill. Oh, I posted on the PMS & PMDD board and have read wonderful posts on Yaz so that has me a little excited now! I'll keep you informed. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and for the support!
