I know this isn't an easy questoin to answer, and every person's body is different, but I thought i'd ask anyways. I also know there's probably a thread about this somewhere, but I'll admit, I'm sick and too tired to search. sorry.
with that, here's my question.
i'm trying to find a pill, that is the least harmful to my body. lol. let me explain. I had a TL, so I don't need BC. however, for the year after my TL, my periods were all over the place, heavy, lasting 7-10 days, and painful. So, yes, I'm on BCP's to regulate and lessen the severity of my periods.
Does anyone know, what kind of pill is best for those things? I'm thinking of when they give young girls pills to help them with painful periods, long ones, heavy ones, etc.....but aren't too concerned with actual prevention of pregnancy.
I'm back in the search of finding something that won't kill my libido, but that also, will help alleviate all my monthly issues.
tia.

Hi inkeddogmom, welcome back!

HI Jill,
Thanks for the information. Sadly, my doc just gives me whatever he wants and has even asked ME what I want. scary, huh?
Right now, I'm on Yasmin. I went back to it because it does alleviate my symptoms, however, it kills my libido. So, of course, I've been looking for other things.
I have tried Zovia, Junel, OTC Lo, and they all made my symptoms worse, however, of course, two of them allowed my libido to come back. They also made me nutty. lol.
I'm reading more about Yaz and seeing what's in the drug, etc. Maybe I could ask my doc to switch me to that to test it out. He's still trying to figure out what is good for me too. It's hard, cuz a lot of times, he tries to give me something that's not on my formulary, and I've switched health insurance so bleah. lol.
Again, thanks.
Hi again hon,
Jill
