Worried & wondering about late period...

Ok, I wouldn't be so worried about this, but I've been on OrthoTriCyclen for the past 3 years and have always gotten my period around the same day during the placebo pills (never more than a day later than usual). Well, this week I was supposed to get my period on Wednesday, and now it's 2 days late and I still haven't gotten it. I may be jumping the gun, but usually I'd at least feel some cramps by now...
So I'm kinda worried about the pregnancy possibility, although I've taken my pill on time every time (haven't been on any antibiotics) & my bf withdraws too, and we've only been together 4 times since my last period since it's long distance. In addition to that, I've been sick for the past week with a really bad head cold/sinus infection and I've been losing weight (4 pounds in the past few weeks) through diet & exercise. So those might be reasons that my period is late I think, I just wanted to get some reassurance. Today I bought a reliable early results pregnancy test & it came back negative (it was my first time ever having to buy one). So I'm pretty positive I'm not pregnant. I guess I'm just wondering why my period isn't here!!! It makes me nervous!

Hi incubus_girl18, welcome back!
Jill
Thank you so much - I felt so much better after posting on here & reading your reply! I ended up getting my period on Saturday night - of course, it had to start right when I got to a work party, but I was so happy to get it that for once I didn't mind having cramps! It must have just been late because I was sick & stressed out. :)
I am actually just now switching to Ortho-cep -- I talked to my doctor a month ago about how moody & emotional I've been getting during the 3rd phase (drk blue) of pills on OTC. I was fine for 3 years, but lately that 3rd week has really affected my emotions & appetite (I was hungry all the time during that week!). So now I started the new Orthocep pills on Sunday & my doctor says that I shouldn't have such bad symptoms since it's a steady level of hormones.
So I'm just wondering if anyone else has taken Orthocep & if you've had any problems with it?
Hi again Hon,
