changing times?

Hi. I'm new to the whole birth control pills thing. I started my first pack a few weeks ago. I'm still in high school so i thought the most convenient time to take my pills are in the morning before school, at 6am when i wake up, considering i know i will always be at my house with the pills available 5 days a week. I set my alarm on my cell phone every morning at 6, so on the weekends i get up, take a pill, then go back to sleep. however, when this summer comes i'm not sure how much i'll want to get up at 6am every morning to take a pill when i'm not in school. If i start a new pack in june, close to when school gets out, can i change the time i take it? i was thinking more like noon... but can i just change times? will the pills still be effective or will i have to wait a week before they work again?
