I used depo for 3 years in the past. I specifically chose it because I didn't think I'd be good at remembering to take a pill everyday; certainly not at the same time everyday. So when I was tired of depo (all the weight gain, ick), I was very apprehensive about the pill and about putting any additional hormones in my body. I just wanted to be back to normal.!

Anyway, what I eventually found through a process of trial and error was the paragard IUD. I really love it! I think it could be a good solution for you because it doesn't involve any hormones at all, so your body will be able to sort of "flush out" all the hormones you've been taking. Also, since it doesn't involve hormones, your fertility returns as soon as it is removed, there's no lag time at all, which I believe there can be with the pill. At least that is what I have been told.

I just wanted to share my experience, oh and just in case your question hadn't been answered, your cycle definitely will come back... eventually. Good luck!
