I love this board and have learned so much. I take my pill at noon because that's the only time that I am consistently available to take it for the time being. My work hours vary from early AM one day to late PM another and my social calendar can make taking at bedtime not ideal, lol. So I end up taking it on my lunch break. I can't find the answer to this question anywhere....Is it ok to take with food? I don't want to risk it not getting absorbed like it should. Generally I take it and wait to eat about 10 or 15 minutes or eat about a half an hour earlier. I am on my first month of bcp, using ortho tricyclen lo. I have had great results with it, as I take it for other reasons on top of birth control, but this had me wondering recently.

I don't think it matters. Usually when a full or empty stomach affects a medication, it will be clearly stated on the instructions. My cholesterol meds need to be taken on a full stomach and my hubby's GERD meds need to be on an empty stomach. But, I haven't seen anything like that on the pill. I'm 99.99999999% sure it doesn't matter.
