Homesick...pill making it worse?

Hi all, I'm new to this board, but not to iVillage!
I got married in August and moved away from the only city I've ever lived in the very next day. In the past when I was on the pill, I had some mood swings, found myself to be a bit more weepy, but nothing I couldn't handle. I went off them for the three years before my wedding, and went back on just the month before.
I started on Ortho-Tricyclen and ended up on a generic for tri-phasil when I got to MA. I found that I couldn't get myself up off the couch to do *anything*, I hated life, and worst of all had zero interest in sex. By accident (and because my pharmacy was out on the day I went to pick up my next pack) I went off the pill for a month, and found that I felt more like myself again after two weeks. And my libido returned. After two months, I got really freaked out and decided to try a monophasic -- Ortho-Cyclen. Within two weeks, I was back to no libido, eating emotionally, and feeling awful.
I know I'm dealing with some adjustment and homesickness issues...could it be that the pill puts a magnifier on that depression? If so, what should I do? I love my DH, and when I'm not on the pill, love sex and keep a clean house/good grades. When I'm on the pill, I find that I put him off for days on end, the house goes to crap and my desire to do well in school drops through the floor. I've had this problem on 3 pills. Any suggestions? DH and I are using condoms right now, and can't use a spermacide because it irritates both of us (TMI -- he actually got scabs from it).
TIA... Getting preggers right now would be super inconvenient!

I think you should talk to you GYN maybe another form of birth control would be better for you. A lot of women experience low libido when on the pill.
I'm sure moving away and getting used to a new place is making it even harder but there's no harm in talking to your doctor about it.
