switching from demulen to zovia

Hello!
I posted a few days ago about looking for pills that are similar to demulen (since the manufacturer is discontinuing it). I talked to my doctor today and she assured me that the generic pill zovia is just as effective at preventing pregnancy as the brand name demulen (I'm very paranoid about this - don't want an unexpected baby). She did mention, however, that the side effects might be different on the generics. I really loved demulen because, after trying many pills, it was the only one that stopped my spotting (I was pretty much having a 2 week period on all the other pills I tried, and with demulen it went down to 3 very light days - and no cramps!). I'm going to give zovia a try and hope for the best. I'm curious, though, has anyone on this board switched from demulen to zovia or zovia to demulen and noticed any differences in side effects? I'd really appreciate any input you can give.
Thanks!

There can be differences in how you feel, but they should be minor.
