Yaz and Flow..... Question

Hello All,

For those on the PMDD board, I am sorry you have to read this twice :)...

Long story short.. 2 years ago I had a miscarriage followed immediately by an ectopic on verge of hemmorage (I didn't realize I had twins... Found out when my fallopian was right on the verge of hemmorage after emergency surgery for internal bleeding).. Anyways.. Prior to being Preg I had been on BC for 16 years.. I got off them to get preg and got Preg pretty much right away.. Right after the preg/miscarriage/ectopic when my cycles would happen they would be extremely heavy. Flash forward 2 years and I was diagnosed w/ PMDD and put on Yaz... Now done w/ month 2 of Yaz and my flows are extremely light.. I know from experience that bc do shorten/lighten the flow... But wow, I was shocked at how much really it lightened it... Anyone else run into this ?? I could sneeze and miss my periods now (;))..... Poor OB won't like this - I use to buy their products in bulk ;)..

Serious note, anyone experience the extremeness of this ??

Thank you,
Tami

Some women do have really short and light periods when they take the pill.

Hi Judie,

Thanks for your reply... Good to know I'm not alone :)

No need to change from Yaz.. it's been a god send for my PMDD... HAHAHA- pls, no need for more bleeding, I'll take this minimal flow over what I had before... It was crazy and I was giving far too much $$ to the menstrual product companies ;).. I deserve a break !!!!

Thanks again for your reply.. I feel better and your comments about lining of uteris etc makes sense..
