When I check my ring, it'll feel like it's right at the opening if I'm sitting down. (Like on the toilet, or edge of the tub.) But if I'm standing or laying on the bed when I do it, it feels like it's alot further up. So just differenty body positions seem to affect how far in my ring is.. Maybe that's what's happening to you??
When you insert it, use a tampon applicator. You can bend the ring so that it fits in the top part- with about 1/2 of it sticking out. Then, you can just insert it like you would when inserting a tampon and push it up inside with the plunger part of the applicator.
My ring sits in my pubic notch, which is about an inch and a half inside the body.
