Taking birth control on time

How important is it to take the birth control pill at the same time every day?
I made the mistake of not taking the 7 inactive pills, so once it came time to take the active ones again i've been bad with taking them at the same time.
I'll take them sometimes 2-3 hours after i usually do.
Is that a bad thing?
Will that effect the risk of pregnancy?
thanks

I believe that as long as you take them with in 2 hours of your regular time there isn't a problem but you might find you have more spotting if you take them at different times.

You want to try to keep your pills 22-26 hours apart.
