Seasonale causing outbreaks?
| Mon, 03-12-2007 - 4:22pm |
Hello....I have a question about Seasonale...
I just switched to Seasonale, back in January, and am a little halfway through my first pack.

Hi Nicky,
Seasonale contains the same progestin as the Mirena IUD. I ended up with quite bad cystic acne with the Mirena, and it was one of several reasons why I had it removed. Seven months later I'm still trying to get rid of the last of it!
So what I'm saying is, it could very well be the Seasonale causing your outbreaks. Hopefully things will settle down for you soon, but if not, and it becomes really annoying, you might have to consider switching pills.
Ugh....!
You know I was on the pill before seasonale existed and still only had 4 periods a year. I just skipped my placebos and went right to the next pack. It was my doctor's idea.

Hi Veronica, welcome!
Jill
I am going to give it the full year - mostly out of necessity - as I am unemployed right now & without health insurance. So if I switch, it'll be done next January. Unless I absolutely positively have to before then.
Thanks for the reply!
