i have been on the pill since i was 16 1/2 (i am now 20) i have just changed my pill and started taking my new pack on saturday. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend last night and i just read my pack that i shouldnt have unprotected sex for the first 7 days of taking the white tablets. Do you think i could still be protected from my followin pill? i went to get an after morning pill this afternoon but it is too hard to get. what is the percentage of me getting pregnant do you think?

I'm not 100% sure if it's the same for every pill type but when I switched brands I didn't have to use a back up method. As long as you didn't change your routine changing the type of pill shouldn't affect your coverage. Since I was already covered. The note on the package is probably for women just starting the pill not switching, my guess anyhow.

Hopefully someone will have a 100% answer for you.

I agree with Jill--as long as you took your last pack correctly and it was just a brand switch, there shouldn't be anything to worry about as long as you've taken this pack correctly too.

You might want to call your pharmacy and ask them what you need to do in order to get Plan B.

At 16, you NEED to make sure you're taking a calcium supplement while you're using Depo Provera.
