So, first off.. I started taking my birth control pill about 5-6 days after my period ended this month (because I switched methods.. from the patch to the pill... ) and anyway, I used a back-up method the first time I had sex with my boyfriend (within a week of my pack), but I didn't use a back-up method the second time, which was Friday evening (also, over a week and a half into my pack ), and am wondering if I SHOULD have, because maybe I will get pregnant? Perhaps I can still take the Plan B, if I am at risk?

Also, I heard a woman tell me recently that she developed a tumor in her liver from using birth control for so many years and I am wondering how at risk I am for that? I've been using birth control for probably 2 or 3 years, and I am 24. Is there a safer method that I just haven't heard about?

Thanks for your help.
