The Pill and Fertility Monitors

I have a question about the Pill and Fertility Monitors such as these: http://www.fertile-focus.com/ovulation-microscope.html, or http://www.birthcontrol.com/product_display.aspx?productid=48.

I know that an egg is not released while you're on the Pill...so how would that affect a result on one of these devices? For ex., if you performed one of these tests at the time of the month when you would be ovulating were you not on the Pill, would the result reflect that you were fertile even though an egg wasn't being released? Or would the test result reflect that you were simply not ovulating?

I'm just curious...

Thanks for any insight!

Thanks so much for getting back to me!
Like I said in my post, I was aware that ovulation was inhibited, but some of those other contraceptive mechanisms had slipped my mind.

I don't plan to use one of these computers (as some of them are quite expensive and I intend to continue using Apri as my primary method of birth control), but I was curious since I hadn't heard much about them.

A saliva microscope is cheap, but you'd need to use it every day to see if you noticed anything changing--because you are on the pill, it's possible that you wouldn't see the same result from ovulation as you would if you weren't on the pill.
