Hello!

I am freaking out and I really need some help.

I have been on three different types of birth control for the past year. First I was on Loestrin, then the Ortho Evra patch, and now this is the end of my fourth month on Ortho Tricyclen Lo. I was orignially put on the pill because I was having huge cysts. Now I'm using it for that and to prevent pregnancy.

Two and a half weeks ago my boyfriend ejaculated inside of me for the first time. He normally just pulls out or we use a condom.

After he ejaculated in me, a few days later I was very itchy, having burning sensations, and very dry. This had happened to me previously on the patch.

Now that has cleared up and this is the week I should get my period. I got my period Tuesday and it was very light and was barely there yesterday and just a little bit of bleeding today.

I don't have any of the pregnancy symptoms except that my stomach feels EXTREMELY WEIRD!!! (All the past months I had been scared of being pregnant because I constantly felt nauseous, but I figured out that it was the pill making me feel this way.)

But now, other than my stomach I feel fine. If I press down on it though it is VERY uncomfortable and feels very tight. In the beginning it felt almost as if I had cysts again.

I have taken every pill within 5 minutes of 10:00 all four months.

I am just so very worried because I absolutely cannot have a baby right now.

What could any of this mean? Any help would be great! Thanks!

First thing...RELAX. I know that seems impossible but stress can play tricks on you. If you've had your period then you should be fine. However if you need reassurance I recommend that you
1- Take a pregnancy test since its been 2 weeks the result should be accurate.
2- You might want to see a doctor about the stomach issue though if it is cysts they can help.
3- Try to relax. I know that may be difficult but stressing yourself out won't help either.
Good luck and remember that if you are pregnant or get pregnant, it truly isn't the end of the world. At most it'll just push your plans back thats all. I know women who raise kids, go to college full time, and have a full time job all at once. Please keep that in mind.

I would take a test to be sure. Then you really need to relax. It's normal for some women to have really light periods on the pill, and for them to not always start on the same day each month.

The pain in your stomach might be the cysts, I'd contact a doctor about that. I'm pretty sure the rules about the pill are, take it within 2 hours of the same time every day, and you've had no vomiting or diarrhea within 2 hours of taking it you should be covered.

My husband and I used the pill for about 4 years. We never used condoms and he never pulled out. If you're taking the pill correctly I never saw a reason to do either, since I wasn't ovulating.

Good luck
