So, waaaaaaaaay back in the fall, I had a 42 day period, I thought I was dying, but I was on the road for business so I went to walk in clinic after walk in clinic... FINALLY I got home and my doc. said "no big deal lets get you on some birth control meds and that will fix what can only be a hormone imbalance because you are 23"
Great, I have been taking them for a few months now, but my periods are SO annoying to deal with... they start about 3 days after I stop taking the active pills and are SO incredibly heavy and for the first time in 10 years I have cramps with them... I thought birth control was supposed to improve your period experience... sure my periods are shorter (I used to have a 9 day before the meds... but it was a easy to manage and go about my life during my 9 day period)
Is this common to have your period worsen with Birth control??
thanks for the input!
