Period Expectations

Hello!
First off, a little background:
Ten years ago I started the Depo shot and automatically stopped having my periods (I was 14 and had only been having periods for a year). I've been period free ever since. I loved the shot - no periods, no emotional issues, no cramps, no back pain. I was worry free! But after a recent visit to my doctor a month ago, she told me the likelyhood of me getting osteoperosis was incredibly high. My body hadn't been feeling "great" lately, and we came to the conclusion this was probably why. So she started me on the Nuva Ring. I'm entering the end of my third week and haven't had any problems so far. My question is this - any ideas on what I should be expecting in terms of a period when I take the ring out? Its been so long since I've bought "personal items" that I don't even know what brand is best anymore! Any period advice for a 25 year old newbie would be much appreciated! Thank you!

As for personal items, that is personal preference. I used Nuvaring after having two depo shots, so six months of depo. I had very light periods and no cramping. I hope that yours is just as light:)
Let us know how it goes.

Feminine protection is a very personal thing, but I like Tampax Pearl tampons. I think they're the best for preventing leaks.

Fortunately, with the ring, I don't need much help, but fit is key when it comes to feminine hygiene products.
